Frequently Asked Questions

The following are additional questions that have been asked frequently. Please visit often to see what may be new:

Q: What is Neural Therapy?
A: Neural Therapy is a gentle injection technique used to heal the autonomic nervous system. It involves treating autonomic ganglia, peripheral nerves, scars, glands, acupuncture points, trigger points and other tissues to achieve the reversal of illness. It can be especially effective in the treatment of chronic pain.
Q: What is the Autonomic Nervous System?
A: The Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) is the part of the nervous system that controls functions such as blood flow, heart rate, organ function, digestion, the immune system and healing, etc.
Q: What is ART?
A: Autonomic Response Testing (ART) is a system of evaluation and treatment developed by Dietrich Klinghardt, MD, Ph.D, and Lousia Williams, DC, ND. ART uses muscle testing through biofeedback of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) to determine disturbances and potential remedies. ART is a Functional Assessment used by the Holistic/ Integrative Doctor, to determine bodily function (or dysfunction), not specific diseases. Dr. Klinghardt blended the muscle testing of American Applied Kinesiology with the understanding of the anatomy and physiology of German Neural Therapy to develop ART. The result is a highly structured and sophisticated muscle testing biofeedback system designed to give reliable and reproducible results. A medical assessment tool (like ART) that records generalized and localized ANS disturbance can be helpful in determining the root causes of health disturbances. Autonomic Response Testing (ART) grew out of the importance of detecting and correcting problems of the autonomic nervous system. ART allows the doctor to correct the problems of the ANS and to help restore the self regulating mechanism of the body allowing the patient to return to a state of health.
Q: How is ART different from other types of muscle testing?
A: ART is different from other forms of muscle testing in that is uses the latest findings of quantum and biophotonic physics to aid in the assessment of the body. This allows for a much deeper level of testing not available before to traditional kinesiologists. Tools such as a polarization filter and signal enhancers are used to get stronger, clearer feedback from the body. ART often finds things that are missed with traditional kinesiology. ART pracitioners, in general, also have the ability to test for a wider variety of root causes of illness, including specific infections, toxins, and emotional disturbances.
Q: Can ART diagnose diseases?
A: ART is used along with traditional tests, to determine the root causes of illness. It is not used to diagnose diseases.
Q: How accurate is ART testing?
A: ART has been shown to be the most accurate of all kinesiology techniques, with the best reproducability and inter-examiner reliability.
Q: What is KMT?
A: Klinghardt Matrix Therapy (KMT) uses micro-current, infrared and laser technology, color therapy and energy psychology to achieve microbial inhibition, lymph drainage, detoxification and emotional balancing.
Q: What is MFT?
A: MFT stands for Mental Field Therapy. It is a combination of the works of Scott Walker DC's NET, Gary Craig's EFT, accupuncture and other emotional release techniques. In MFT, psychologial traumas that are preventing a patients physical health are explored, and gently relased through a series of specific tapping points and healing statements made by the patient. It is an elegant and effective means of helping people clear emotional issues.
Q: What is APN?
A: APN (Applied Psychoneurobiology) uses a combination of ART testing and MFT to get to deeper levels of emotional work. The ART helps the practicioner "ask the body" to find the emotional issues that may not be known by the conscious mind. ART testing allows for specificity of the emotions most needing help. Then MFT and color therapy can be used to facilitate deep healing.
Q: What are the nine points in MFT?
A: (You may consider having the diagrams found in the manuals) The sequence of nine points, when tapped, influnces all of the 14 major meridian lines. It is an easy way to help the body deal with stressful situations (like exposure to allergens, or emotional stress), help with the uptake of nutrients, and do a general clearing of the energy field of the body. The points should be tapped using both hands and all 10 fingers, as there are important meridians on the finger tips. The points can be tapped 9 times, in a gentle waltz rhythm. Tapping should be solid, not too soft or too hard. Humming while tapping the points helps add the the healing effect. 1. top of the head 2. eyebrows 3. temples 4. back of the head 5. cheeks 6. top lip 7. bottom lip 8. sides 9. chest
Q: Is it possible to do Neural Therapy without using injections/needles?
A: Yes. Neural therapy can be accomplished with cold laser, microcurrent and energetic forms of chiropractic.
